The final day of our New England Road Trip started in beautiful Provincetown. We left the Harbor Hotel and made our way to Liz’s Cafe Anybody’s Bar for breakfast. When we arrived they happened to have an Igloo available to eat in and we couldn’t turn down since neither of us had ever done that before.
I ordered the Flippers, which are like Portuguese pancakes made of fried dough. So delicious!!

Stop 2: Pilgrims’ First Landing Park
After breakfast, we decided to walk to Pilgrims’ First Landing Park and check it out. It also gave us the chance check out the town. In the park, there is long stone breaker that you can walk out on. We ventured part of the way out to take in the view. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, but climbing the rocks was definitely an adventure. It looks like it would be fairly easy, but the rocks get less even as you continue down the path.

Stop 3: Three Fins Coffee
Once we were back on the road and headed back towards Boston, we made a pitstop in West Dennis for one last local coffee shop visit. Three Fins Coffee Roasters & Mercantile has a very cool atmosphere. Very welcoming and open. Just walking in you can tell that this coffee shop has a great local following. There were people there hanging out, catching up and enjoying great coffee.
While there, I also picked up some amazing local cookies made by Kayak Cookies. The Salty Oats PB & Chocolate cookies were just the right snack while waiting for my flight back to Charlotte. I am normally a soft, gooey cookie person, but these were just the right amount of salty and sweet without being too hard.
Stop 4: Plymouth Rock
We had some time to kill before I had to get to the airport, so we took a short detour to Plymouth Rock. This detour was less crazy than our one to Salem. It is definitely a touristy area and I wouldn’t suggest it as a must see activity. But for us it was a great place to stop for 30 minutes, walk around/stretch our legs, and read some of the placards.

After Plymouth Rock, it was back to the airport and sadly the end of the road trip. I truly loved our time spent on the trip and I would love to go back to New England and visit more places and spend some more time in others.
