Adventure Tips: Bring Fido App

I recently started using the Bring Fido App because we travel with our dogs most of the time and try to find dog friendly places. The Bring Fido App puts all the options in one place; Lodging, Restaurants, Activities, Events and Services.

We spent the weekend at Roebling Road Racing outside of Savannah, GA and when we are at race tracks, the dogs have to spent most of the day in our trailer. Now, they have it good, big bed, air conditioning, but I still like to get them some off leash time.

Through the Bring Fido App, I was able to find Tom Triplett Dog Park which was about 10 miles from the track. Not only does Bring Fido give you the options, but users can review anything that is listed. Which is great because it gives you an even better idea of what to expect. Someone had mentioned that the fence in the small dog area of the park didn’t go all the way to the ground in some spots. I didn’t see any problems when I took the dogs, but it was great to know ahead of time, so that I could be aware.

On our way back to Charlotte, I also used the app to find a restaurant that was dog friendly. We were able to stop at Fat Jack’s in Walterboro and sit outside on their patio. The waitress even brought out a water bowl for the dogs.

So far the best place we have found through the app has been Ellis Creek Fish Camp in Charleston. They are more than just dog friendly. They go to the extent of having a dog menu. Turkey dinner and Puppacinos are available for purchase. Kringle and Ganni devoured their turkey dinners (turkey, pumpkin, oats and green beans).
